MCRC Frans Hamerhuis

4. Project description
Problem statement
MCRC Nepal is a non-profit organization, dedicated for the advancement of mentally disable (Intellectually disable) students. From the established date to now we have faced various challenges while up going with these children. The learning of student is going fine but the organization is lacking a proper boarding house for these students. The earthquake last year has given a very big message to us. We were lucky that time, because the organization was having vacation but next time it may not be luck again. We are collecting small funds from persons and the organization to come to our dream. We hope you and your organization also support these innocent children to have a safe living and happy reading. “Its not about luxury, its about the necessity.”

Project targets

The project aims to give the secured living for these 25 students (under the protection of organization now). The building we are making hostel for the student is a temporary building which may be out of use any time. So we target to build a home for them where they can study, exercise, play, develop vocabulary skills, and all other basic requirements of living. Disabilities should not be the reason to bind a man!

Target group
The targeted group in this project are the same students. We are non profit organization and we keep all our focus on these students’ development. We ask help for them, we work for them. “Having an intellectually disable child in a home is not a sin, rather you must be lucky to have such a special member”. Help them develop.

Project planning
As soon as the preliminary budget is collected and funded to our bank account we will initiate the project. The architectural task has already been finished, only the implementation is remaining and as soon as we have the enough fund we will initiate.

Expected results and sustainability
The expected result will be the earthquake resistant home as per architecture design. The new building will facilitate all the students to have a comfortable living and learning. The age of new building will be 20 years above. Which means not only these students, the 2-3 upcoming generation student will also utilize the same building.Budget
budget estimation has been sent separately.

De aardbeving  april – mei 2015

Respected All
I am Sushant Sigdel from Nepal. I think you all are known about the breath taking earthquake hit on 25th April 2015. Many people lost their life during that period and many building has been broken down too. Kavrepalanchowk district where my village is located is also one of the heavily affected area. In this district Hatemalo has two running projects:  chicken farm in Tusal and MCRC building, Palanchok. Both of these buildings are destroyed by the earthquake. To build up the chicken farm again. The building of MCRC is partially broken and the internal part is also affected. The beds and other furniture are broken.
